UPNEDA approves Rs 325 crore for seven bio-energy plants in Uttar Pradesh

• The Uttar Pradesh New and Renewable Energy Development Agency (UPNEDA) has approved seven bio-energy projects in the state, with a total investment of Rs 325 crore.

• The projects include four compressed biogas (CBG) plants, two biodiesel plants which has the capacity to produce 204 kl/d, and one bio coal plant which can produce 51.2 tons of Biogas.

• The bio-energy sector has received investment proposals worth about Rs 46,000 crore under the Uttar Pradesh state bio energy policy 2022.
