- EverEnviro Resource Management, a renewable energy company, has partnered with Torrent Gas, supported by GAIL India Ltd, to supply compressed biogas (Bio CNG) in Punjab.
- The project will use paddy residue as biomass to produce Bio CNG, which will be fed into the city gas distribution network. The project will also generate organic manure and create employment opportunities for rural entrepreneurs.
- The project is expected to prevent stubble burning across 40,000 acres and produce 15 tons of Bio CNG daily.
