Inauguration of Indian Oil’s Second Bio-Based Compressed Biogas Plant in Gorakhpur

1. Indian Oil Corporation Ltd’s second Compressed Biogas (CBG) plant was inaugurated by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in Gorakhpur.
2. The plant, manufactured by CEID Consultant and Engineering Pvt Ltd, processes agricultural waste to generate 20 tons of pure CBG per day.
3. This initiative supports sustainable energy, aligns with the UP government’s clean energy vision, and reduces the carbon footprint. The plant will create jobs for 120 people and harness 200 tons of agricultural waste daily, promoting eco-friendly waste management.
