Application
Description SA-Dynamics, a German start-up, has developed bio-based, recyclable insulation textiles made from 100% bio-based aerogel fibers. These textiles trap up to 90% air in nano-pores, providing insulation comparable to fossil-based materials like PET and mineral wool. The solution is designed to reduce energy consumption and carbon footprint by replacing synthetic materials with sustainable alternatives. This innovation has earned the company the second Innovation Award for sustainability and recycling at Techtextil and Texprocess.
Pathway Description: SA-Dynamics developed bio-based insulation textiles by using 100% bio-based aerogel fibers, which trap up to 90% air in nano-pores for enhanced insulation. The aerogel fibers are sustainably sourced and certified. The textiles are designed to be recyclable and bio-degradable, replacing fossil-based materials like PET, PE, and mineral wool. This process aims to reduce energy consumption and carbon footprint in construction.
