- KRIBHCO, a fertiliser cooperative, is setting up three ethanol plants in Gujarat, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh with a total investment of INR 1,100 crore.
- The plants will use grains like maize and broken rice in a process called dry milling as feedstock and supply ethanol to oil marketing companies for blending with petrol.
- The capacity of the three ethanol plants that KRIBHCO is setting up in Gujarat, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh is 250 kilo litre per day each. This means that the total capacity of the three plants would be 750 kilo litre per day.
