- Reliance Industries (RIL) is in talks with sugar mill operators to source sugarcane press mud, a key raw material for producing compressed biogas (CBG).
- RIL plans to set up 100 CBG plants in the next five years, using 5.5 million tonnes of agricultural residue and organic waste.
