- India launched the National Green Hydrogen Mission, which aims to produce 5 million tonnes of green hydrogen annually by 2030, and allocated 17,490 crore for incentives to boost its production and usage.
- India announced plans to add 50GW of renewable energy capacity annually till FY28, with at least 10GW from wind power, to achieve the 500GW target by 2030.
- India approved a 3,670 crore viability gap funding scheme for battery energy storage systems, which can support round the clock renewable power supply.
