1. Indian and Russian scientists have developed a method using deep machine learning to optimize biodiesel production from the Barbados nut (Jatropha curcas) seeds, a poisonous tropical shrub. This method reduces labor costs and improves the quality and predictability of the biofuel.
  2. Scientists from Don State Technical University (Russia), Federal Scientific Agroengineering Center VIM (Russia), and the University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (India) collaborated to develop a deep machine-learning method for optimizing biodiesel production from Barbados nut seeds.
  3. The team achieved a 97% ester yield using a reaction temperature of 60°C, 1% potassium hydroxide catalyst, and a 6:1 methanol ratio. The model improved biodiesel volume and viscosity prediction accuracy by 10% and 8%.
