• Pantnagar University scientists developed a method to extract 90% alcohol from agricultural waste efficiently utilizing biomass like sugarcane bagasse.
• The new technique avoids organic solvents, allowing deeper enzyme penetration for better carbohydrate conversion.
• This process isolates cellulose from agricultural waste, creating fermentable sugars and hydrolyzing them with enzymes, to produce bioethanol.
