India bio-economy updates from BioBiz
- Gurugram’s Municipal Corporation (MCG) and NTPC will sign an MoU to establish a waste-to-charcoal plant at Bandhwari landfill, converting 600 metric tons of waste into 200 metric tons of charcoal daily.
- The plant uses torrefaction to produce energy-dense charcoal and replacing coal in power plants with biochar.
- NTPC aims to complete the plant in 18 months.
