ICAR Develops Bio-Filtration System to Treat 1 Lakh Litre Wastewater in Goa

1. The ICAR has developed the bio-filtration system in collaboration with the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) and the University of Agricultural Sciences (UAS). The system is expected to be used in various sectors, including agriculture, industry, and urban areas, to treat wastewater and promote sustainable water management practices.
2. The bio-filtration system is designed to remove pollutants such as chemical oxygen demand (COD), biological oxygen demand (BOD), and total suspended solids (TSS) from wastewater.
