- The HPCL Compressed Biogas (CBG) Plant in Budaun, Uttar Pradesh, was inaugurated by Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
- The plant processes 100 tons of rice straw daily, producing 14 tons of biogas and 65 tons of solid manure, helping reduce stubble burning and CO2 emissions by 55,000 tons annually.
- The project, costing approximately Rs. 133 crore, aims to provide direct employment to 100 people and indirect benefits to 1,000 people, supporting sustainable agriculture.
